  1. Hello, I have neuropathy, and I was wondering if acupuncture would relieve my pain. I am not a Diabetic but, I have back problems, and I’m overweight. Would I be a good candidate for acupuncture? Also can this be covered with insurance? Thanks in advance.

  2. Hi Kimberly, pain and neuropathy due to issues in the back can definitely be alleviated by acupuncture treatment. Herbs and supportive supplements may also be used in combination. Insurance coverage varies among providers and plans but we do not accept insurance. Please schedule a free consultation, I’d love to talk to you about how to improve circulation and keep inflammation low naturally. Thank you!

  4. Hello, my husband has itching all over on his body for several years. He had hip replacement in 2010 and had blood clots after 1 year later twice and he is on anticoagulant forever. I think his itching started after his taking warfarin. Most of his itching was on his legs at night time. He goes to VA for his primary care and they switched warfarin to Eliquis since 2018. After that he is itching all day. We are wondering if acupuncture can help his itching or not. Please let me know! We can get the referral from VA if needed. Thank you! Duke

  5. Hello! I was thinking about trying acupuncture to find relief for acne. I’ve tried many topical and oral prescriptions with no help. Is this something you perform? Do you believe it would be helpful? Thank you!

  6. Hi Krista, Acupuncture may be helpful if it is due to a hormonal imbalance. It has an anti-inflammatory effect locally and systemically. It an help regulate the immune system as well. Acne could be a result of something irritating in the diet. Changes to the diet may help alleviate the symptoms as well. I addition, I have had positive feedback from people using certain herbal supplements. If you’d like to, please come in for a free consultation and we can determine what course may be best for you. Thank you!

  9. Acupuncture is effective for pain management and can help reduce dependence on pain medications. We also work with people who want to improve their fertility. Acupuncture has a balancing effect on hormones and can help to increase chances of conception for those who are wanting to conceive. It helps regulate women’s menstrual cycle and eases symptoms of PMS and cramping. It is very helpful for stress management and so it is used as an aid in weight loss regiments to facilitate sleep and manage cravings.

  10. Hello! I’m a two-time cancer survivor and I’m interested in beginning a Qi gong practice. This was mentioned on your site. I’m also interested in acupuncture, and herbal medicine. In your opinion, and clinical practice, do you believe these methods may be preventative for cancer? Thank you in advance!

  11. Hi Tosha, many herbs can be used to prevent and combat cancer. The diet plays a very big role in cancer prevention and herbs are essentially special kinds of food. Acupuncture is often used to alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy like nausea, anxiety, insomnia, and pain. It has a soothing effect on the nervous system and promotes a healthy balance of stress and sleep hormones. I believe it very well could indirectly prevent cancer by encouraging a healthy stress response, sleep cycle, and by activating the metabolism for better assimilation of nutrients. Exercise and movement are key to staying healthy as movement and time spent outdoors oxygenates the body and promotes good circulation. I recommend all these modes as part of a wholistic approach to health maintenance.

  12. Hi Skip! yes definitely. Acupuncture treatment does seem to have a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system. I regularly see people with high blood pressure, palpitations, and atrial fibrillation get relief after a course of treatment. We often use herbs and supplements to support the process.
